My airbox is cracked and, as long as it needs replacing, I'm thinking about trying a cone on it. as is the case with almost e'body, I don't really want to pay $200 bucks for a filter and a plastic or aluminum tube. I think I'm really close to going with the cone (unless somebody's got a stock gen3 V6 boxthat they want me to have). And so the poll: As of now where do you stand. DP or Cone filter.

 

I removed my cone in favor of the deckplate. I had a K&N FIPK. It ran too lean in town. But, it ran like a champ in the mountains.

 

So you're sucking more air with the hole than with the FIPK?..interesting.

tell me about this Fuel atomizer....that's sounds just tekkie enough for me to mess up while trying to put on the rig.
