my front brakes have been randomly locking up... not completely, but enough to notice... once or twice has been really bad, but generally not totally locked up...

any ideas as to what might be causing this? i think the front brakes are shot at this point anyways due to the first time it happened i was on the freeway... so they smoked for a few minutes, but were fine after 10 minutes or so...

*Note: my brake setup - V6 calipers and vented rotors, V6 master cylinder, V6 dual diaphragm brake booster... 1985 4runner

Caliper piston or pistons are sticking due to corrosion and/or rust. Time to rebuild or replace.

that sucks... kind of expensive fix...

i forgot to add that when they feel like they're locking up, the brake petal is super stiff... like pushing against the floor stiff... like there's tons of pressure in the system..
