When I barely have foot on the gas, especially down hill I can hear/feal the engine sputtering.

I remember it did this once before, it got MUCH worse, I noticed I had a bad spark plug wire, I changed it and she was great! I notived that the 6 wire was resting the EGR pipe and melted the first on. It tried to do it again but I think I caught it before it melted it like last time would the smallest of tears in the wire cause sputtering like I mentioned?

 

Yes if it burnt threw the insulation , move it away from the egr pipe and see if it still misses

 

yeah i got it set to where it can't touch it, but i fear the damage was done already... the wires have a lifetime with Auto Zone so no big woop.
