Engine Gods - help with head gasket

First, I have an 89 4runner 3.0 v6 with 218k on it, rebuild at around 150k.
I was losing radiator fluid for the last week, checked all the hoses/water pump/radiator...no leaks. Checked my oil, it was realy low. Took off the oil cap to fill er up and saw a light brown emulsified oil in the cap.

Is this a head gasket problem? Having it towed to my mechanic today, but want to make sure everything goes smooth. If it is a head gasket, what details do I need to know to make sure I get my baby back in tip top shape.

All advice welcome.

Make sure that proper attention is paid to the block and head surfaces.

When I worked at the dealer and we were doing all the recall HGs at first it was usually just a matter of sticking some new gaskets in and they were good. But later on we started seeing more and more with damage to the block surface near cyl#6 and sometimes cyl#1. It seems that the gsks that were just seeping allowed corrosive cumbustion gasses to eat away at the block right where the gasket seals.

Morphine's 3.0 top end engine rebuild is by far the best I've seen...

i am a toyota tech, and i would recommend taking your vin number to the dealer and checking for the v06 recall. that is where they replace the short block. Yours is most likely warped at the rear and leaking coolant. target nut is correct. Actually, if you want send me your vin and i will check for you. good luck and hope this helps.

Engine recall

If my yota's been takin in for the recall back in 97, but still has the same head gasket problem, will Toyota do anything for it??? If not, I'm thinking about replacing with a reman or a rebuilt, any suggestions?
