Anyone running 285s with 2.7L 3RZ-FE?
What gear ratio?
Thoughts?
Recommendations?
I want to increase my tire size from 275/70R16 to 285/75R16, I was just wondering how bad it will be with the 3RZ and my 4.30 gears.

Definitly doable. That is what I am running right now on my Taco and I love it. It still gets great gas mileage and works very well off road. But the 285's are without a doubt able to be done with your set up, in my opinion.

Thanks for the info TACOKRAWL, I have 3 particular questions for you.
What R&P ratio are you running?
Without the marlin gears, did feel weak on 4LO compared to stock?
What's your highway performance like? How does it do on highway hills, or when your truck is loaded with gear and passengers?

I have 4.30 ring and pinions, My truck is only a standard cab so passengers are at a limit, but fully loaded with gear, highway trips are still doable. The steep uphill climbs can be kind of lackluster, but downshifting usually gets it done. Matt
