hysteer + IFS stearing box = ?" body lift (83 p/u)

Hey there,

This may be a stupid Question but, does any body out there know how much lift(body lift 1",2",3") is needed to mount the IFS stearing box all the way foreward? If a 1" will work that is what im going to do, but if I have to bigger well you gotta do what you gotta do

You can get the box pretty far forward without a body lift at all.

Most people who want it as forward as possible just cut a notch in the body/core support.

I didn't have any body lift when I went to hystee/IFS box, but I did have about 5" of suspension lift.

So you don't need a body lift thats good to know, but i heard that it is easier to do with a body lift? either way I still think that i will put a 1" body lift,
Did any of you guys need to modify/ lenghten the stearing shaft to accomodate for moving the box foreward? or will it extend the extra distance?
By the way thanks for all of your input on the subject!

The shaft has a couple plastic inserts in it that you can drill out and the steering shaft will slide a bit so you got room to extend it, but I didn't do anything to mine on a 1" body lift...and I sell 1" body lifts too if you are interested.

You can see the little holes about the middle (2 of them) on the upper part of the shaft on the top steering shaft and how the upper part of the shaft is pulled out a bit.

The lower one is the one I replaced mine with.
