Looks good, why didn't you use 3/4" mdf for the box?

make sure you dont bump it in neighborhoods on the way home. That is a great way to tell everyone to steal your stuff. When I decide to listen to my music loudly, i always do it while I am driving on the highway.

looks good

I have the same Sony deck in my little acura....had it in my '92 4runner before it was totalled. I actullay like it a lot. For the money it's a nice unit.

bballchrism, your system looks good. It would be a wise idea to get an alarm installed though...and type a bit slower.

Nice install from what I can see, however you can definately improve some things. First most notably is the box. Build it out of 3/4" MDF. Fiberglass inside or outside, up to you which, but doing both is best.

Hide the wires on the amps.

How is everything fused? Did you use a harness and soldered all connections right?

How is that radio secured? I see that your radio bezel has been needlessly trimmed. Did you use the OEM brackets? If so just get another radio bezel from ebay and call it a day!

i planned on making a new box for it some time and making it right, and i did fiberglass the inside, the box was justa spare of the moment thing my freind came over and we just built it on what we had instead of buying one and we did try to obey as maney rules as we can but we just didnt have all the material, but i will build a better one

the amps are wired in by i bought a amp kit and both amps have a wire that goes to the + and both have a fuse on it but i dont remember the amp

the radio install wasnt me it was the person b4 me you should have seen the other crappy stero thing he did, the person had some cheap flee market brand 6x9 just siting in the back wired in, i realy plan on once i get some more money buying a better deck but i just dont have the money and if i did i have more important thing to buy

oh well then thats a little different story. Good job on the box, most people dont fiberglass. See what you can dream up to hide the wires. Perhaps a drilled hole really close to the chassis of the amp so the wires go into there and behind the whole plate.

If you need help with the radio install I can definately help you out there. We'd have to meet someplace in the middle though...lol

that prob would be a good idea but i have it all wired in and i think its good enough for know probally rewire so the wires are hidden and build a box out of mdf over the summer but right know i am spending most of my times finishing this boat project so i can sell the boat and have money for my 4unner

Only thing I would say is GET AN ALARM!! AND A GOOD ONE!! I had a great system in my old '92 pickup until it was stolen. The whole truck, I mean, and right out of my driveway one night. Early year Yotas are so easy to steal. A friend of mine started my truck up with a worn down CHEVY key. It's ridiculous, really. And, no matter how well you secured the components or what type of screws you used, once they steal the vehicle they have all the time they need to rip everything out. I NEVER bumped my system in the neighborhood, nor anywhere near it. That's sound advice (no pun intended... Honestly)
