Haven’t been here in a while. When I was, it was simple questions about this truck. Two owner vehicle, dad then me. Mileage is real.
The bad:
- high beams don’t work. No surprise.
- emergency brake cable broke/removed.
- tear in the seat. See photo.
- failing clear coat front end and cab.
- deer impact years ago, front fender, hood repair, added ARB bumper and KC lights.
- weak original rear bumper shows damage.
The Good:
- no rust cancer. May be some surface rust underneath. It’s 34 yrs old. Dang solid truck.
- new tires fall 2025, prob 500 miles on them
- original metal radiator, had a leak, drained, acid cleaned, all patched up. No plastic replacement.
- ARB bumper, KC lights.
- wettish under engine. Hey, it’s 34 yrs old. Never an oil drip. Fixed the leak at the back of the intake manifold that is common.
- cold A/C, hot heater.
- steering wheel shroud (clamshell new replacement)
- cruise will work, but the above shroud did not have a cutout for the control handle so it was unplugged and now in the glove box.
- I put less than 3k on it when fall came around but changed oil and greased all annually.
- runs great, runs straight and comfortable,
- 4x4 no issues.
- new wheel bearings.
- belts, hoses, plugs but it’s been a few years.
- color matched leather headrests from a wrecked Toyota Solare if I remember correctly.
- Skyjacker shocks.
