The truggy has tons of power but it can't use all of it in the rough. You have to baby it going up the goat trails and some other areas. Where The Herbst get most of their time is on the straights where they can open that beast up. We are a much smaller car and navigate through tight terrain much easier. They go through it pretty well though thanks to the HELICOPTER daddy has flying above them the whole time which must be nice.

The expeditions seem to be the most exciting to me.

Damn, that sucks! That ice must have been pretty thick to rip the bolts off.

Well, Finally I broke down and actually put some time into a little video of my own. this was on Friday, it's been rainy for days and a buddy came over to install his ARB compressor in anticipation of his rear locker install this week. anyways, hope it is up to Yotatech standards, this is the kind of wheeling I have about .25 miles from my house so it works for an afternoon of slippy fun. Never had to be pulled out, though I thought I would have to but I managed to grind may way out. It helps to remember to hit the compressor switch, hehe, I forgot and didn't realize my lockers weren't engaged after about 20 minutes of trying to muscle through a mud hole.

It's about 10 megs.

I just got home with a wrecked 4Runner that would make a great buggy project. I gotta run right now, but I'll try and shoot you some pics later.

If you're into Unimog's, here's a couple of good video and picture pages.

http://www.unimogvideo.com/

Be sure to see the tyson video's there.

http://www.mogstink.com/

Endless videos there, not much hardcore riding though (for a 'mog that is!)

Holy crap.

Jeeps are 'trail rated,' but are they 'wall rated?'

Here is some video footage from the Laughlin desert race a couple of weeks ago. Its just over 5 min.

3.3mb Windows Media file, low quality http://jdfilms.com/videos/laughlin04/laughlin04_mix.wmv

17mb Quicktime, good quality http://jdfilms.com/videos/laughlin04...04_mix_med.mov

46mb Quicktime, highest quality http://jdfilms.com/videos/laughlin04...4_mix_high.mov

If anyone has any video footage they would like to submit for a new video I am producing please send me an email jd@jdfilms.com
This new video is primarily a rock crawling video with other types of off-roading mixed in. We would need anything higher quality than VHS, like Hi-8, Digital8 or miniDV. At the least you will get some videos in return for the contribution and your name in the credits. If there is allot we can use or its really good we might be able to pay you some money.

thanks,

Curtis Guise
