I would not hesitate to try that, not at all. Of course I would use a helicopter, the only true all terrain vehicle.

Today was the first time to go wheelin' without the running boards. I liked it. I dont' know if you can see them in any of the pics but i just bought some $5.00 mudlfaps from Napa that say "toyota" and bolted them on. They don't do much, but better than nothing. Anyway, I didn't want to get it toooo muddy b/c it's so cold and i don't want to be cleaning out the undercarriage in freezing temps getting all wet and muddy. And I was by myself so it was kind of hard to get good action shots since i had to get out of the truck and take pics of it parked before it rolled away in the mud. Oh yeah, and the random carcass was just on the trail. It's weird, it was good sized, like 2' long, maybe a dog. but the thing i don't like about it is that it's in a bag, meaning somebody must've put it in a bag and dumped it here. Weird...

Also I didn't do that great a compression job, they are all 1200x900 and poorly compressed. they are around 140k a piece and i botched them in photoshop, so they are kind of blurry. Sorry 56k.

EDIT:

Do i need to put the link to the pics? Oh yeah, that might help!!!

Well, I am no longer a fourwheeler virgin!

Here are pics of my very first fourwheeling trip. It was very interesting since the trail is supposed to be fairly easy, but with 6-10" of snow, it can get tough quick.

I do have captions under the pics if you want to know the quick story behind the pic!

Keisur: I just checked out your vid on your webpage, and it looks like you need some decent treads under that locked runner. I couldn't believe how much trouble you were having with both front and rear locked. I'm suprised the BFG's did so poorly.

cough, cough. I guess you missed the scrolling verbage across the screen that stated that the lockers weren't engaged. Also, if you look closely in the first stuck situation you'll noticed that everytime I went forward my rear bumber and hitch would hang up on the mound, taking the weight off the rear wheels. the front wheels were so caked with the thick mud we have out here, it's more of a clay mud, alot thicker and stickier than the stuff in alabama, yes I know what it's like there, my home.

The BFG's are good tires but if you notice too that I regeared to 4.88. that in combination with the fact I was trying to get through that in 4L is a major factor, I couldn't get the rpm's high enough at the wheels in 4L. I had alot of power but that's not what was needed. later on I popped it into 4H and engaged the lockers and I was able to pull through all that crap.

The fun thing for me is (when I have another vehicle there) to try and use 2WD until I get stuck, then shift into 4WD until I get stock and then last resort engage the lockers. that's the fun, kind of like fishing with really light tackle, where's the sport in using 100 lb test line on dorado? I'm also not much of a fan of momentum because in this mud you can get over the obstacle but then keep sliding. I always try to go slow and fling alot of mud, hehe.

Next time I'll have to get some vids of the lockers pulling me up and over the dirt cliffs that my buddy in the white 4Runner in the vid can't get over because of the lack of lockers.

the rear bumper will be gone if I ever get the cash (after I get a new windsurfing sail) to find somebody that sells one for a reasonable price so that will no longer be a factor. I also have about 20k miles on my BFGs and they have more than half the tread left but the thick east texas clay/mud doesn't clear well. the next set are going to be some real luggy mudders if I decide to stay in texas, which is doubtful.
