Calling all DFW yotatech'ers... june 12 Mineral wells

ok this is for all you "we should do something" DFW people. Sunday Sunday Sunday
June 12 meet at the shell station at I30 and Cherry Ln in west FT worth. 8:00am. From there we will caravan to Mineral Wells for a day trip excursion of the wheeling variety. A couple of Toyota Trail Riders will be there.

quit posting and start wheeling. Bring your camera's You know, "Worthless without pictures"

So far the list includes:
Gumbo
Shiftless89
rocky ?

MW is stock friendly and there are some technical trails it is a good place for a short day run and to test out your skills and vehicle.

is it 2wd stock friendly?? I dont mind getting rough with my truck but I dont want to be a hinderence if I cant go around deep stuff and get stuck every 15 min...otherwise am interested.

I think you would get frustrated pretty quick try to do the trails in 2wd.

Just checked with Gumbo and the cost for admission to mineral wells is NADA ZIP NILL NOTHING!!!!! So aside from fuel/food and whatever I break This will be a cost effective trip!!

I figure by mid afternoon it will be hot enough to call it quits.

You did fine at 360 this is much better ,dirt and rocks no gumbo mud

technically I'm a newbie myself since its been over 10 years since I've really "Wheeled" I'm not counting my mud expose either

well, i'll do my best to make it, so count me in! i may drag my brother along if he isn't too depressed riding in / driving my 4Runner instead of taking his non-toyota vehicle. is there an exit for cherry ln from I30?

I forget the # but it is cherry lane exit and we will meet at the shell station.

cool, cool. at least i got all those scratches the first time out and so i won't be afraid to get some more. the mud though ... man, i'm still finding clumps in crossmembers and other nooks.
