...But yea, if I can't get off maybe Donny and I can make our way out there at like 4, get there by 5. Are you guys wheeling untill dark? If so, I would love to go out there then.
Better late than never.
Do you guys think that would fly?
Does somebody have a cellular device that you would have with you?

I don't know that I'll stay until dark ... last time, the drive home was a little scary and that was just from 360!! A bunch of mud was caked in areas that made the wheels unbalanced, and the tires were low enough that they made the entire front end shake like hell on the highway. I'm not sure I'd be up for driving back to Dallas in the dark after off-roading, just because I'm not sure what I'd do if there was an issue with my truck ...
We'll see though. Right now it's about 8:46 and still isn't dark yet ...
Then again, I dunno what the plan is. I'll have my cell with me.

probably not stay too late... Especially if I have my daughter with me. I have to get back and relieve the wife of baby duties! what is it they call it? "postal Partum depression?"

Hey guys, I convinced one of my buddies to cover for me on Sunday.
Hell Yea.
So, I'm in.
Poor Donny(fingerman) however, was unable to get off.
What should I bring, this will be my first real wheeling trip.
Does mineral wells allow camping? I might have monday off too.

If any one needs a "full sized spare" for this weekend. I have a 31x10.5x15 BFG AT KO (about 50%) on a stock steel wheel I could bring (sell for 20.00) I'll be posting it in the classifieds too.
lemme know!

BUMP for other DFW'ers ...
I won't have my sliders on by then, but I'll still come -- I've got that nice plastic cladding crap that gets scratched and barely shows it.
I don't have a CB or a hi-lift, or a fire extinguisher ... but I'll be bringing:
a couple tools
recovery strap
two extra shackles
water (I'll probably have some extra bottles if anyone forgets theirs)
cell phone
spare tire
camera
hand wipes
(that first trip out to 360 with all the mud and the almost-flipping and the windows open ... and the sun ... it's nice to be able to wipe that stuff out before it cooks on to the inside of the truck with that smell ...)
antifreeze (i'll have to keep an eye on my radiator, but anyone can use it if they need to)
TRASHBAGS!!
At 360, I remember one issue was that we didn't bring enough recovery gear ... a guy brought his stock Blazer and crashed it into a tree, simultaneously getting stuck in a huge mud bog, and it required a lot of stuff to get him out .... and then we lost a tow strap somewhere along the way ... and I was the only one with d-ring shackles (and only had 2) ... so I remember we were all wishing we had a few more options / pieces of recovery gear.
I'm trying to find my tow strap thing from Wheeler's ... but so far, no luck. Some of you that are going to come, will you have any recovery gear??

I think it sounds like we're going to bring our lunch?? At 360 we went all day and the only break we took was a 5-10 minute break where we ate mangos .. and got all sticky!
I'll probably pack a PBJ sandwich - I've never been to Mineral Wells before, so I have no idea what is around there as far as food goes.
I'm glad you're a noob too.
I've only been once before and it was just a lot of muddddddd. I had 3" of lift but also the stock highway tires ... so, I got stuck ... a lot.
It'll be nice to have another noob there with me!
