Fire extinguisher mount

Thought I'd post up what I did for a fire extinguisher mount. I see a lot of guys mount them in the cargo area but feel it'll take way to long to access. I wanted one up front, out of the way and no drilling into the body. I came up with a pretty simple solution that can be used on a number of vehicles. The pictures speak for them selves

Nice.
Thinking of doing that, too. First-gen cargo deck roll-bar looks cool in pictures but practically bad, especially in terms of electrical fire when the STUPID roll-up window would be dead.

That was my thought. I've dealt with a handful of vehicle fires and I know how fast they can spread. Every seconds counts and having to climb through the back jut to get to the extinguisher takes way too long. With it up front in the floor it takes maybe 2 seconds to grab it and be headed out. It's completely out of the way too and likely wont get buried under cargo.

I would rethink that mount. In a vehicle collision or roll over that plastic isn't going to do much to keep the fire extinguisher from becoming a projectile.

You make a good point. Maybe now that I know for sure I like it right there I'll stick a couple rivnuts in the tunnel and bolt it in.

Thats where I have mine too, but I just self tapered it to the tunnel. Your way is much cleaner.
