are you using a standard hitch/ring and pintle/ or universal articulating hitch set up?

I might consider adding a tailgate type thing on the trailer to allow you a "porch" to wipe off your boots before you enter the trailer...
Thank you Sir..

it is a bit high..i have to drop it about 2"-3" to level it out. I installed the Maxcoupler for a multi axis hitch...awesome piece of equipment.

I don't think I'll be sleeping in the back much...there is a roof top tent that is the main sleeping area...that should mounted this weekend...if it ever stops raining!

Looking good Pat.

How are you liking the fiberglass propane tanks?
I bought a blue one last year, I like it a lot.
Very light weight.

Just went through the ROAM build on mud, pretty coOl.
Easy to see how the weight guesstimate was so far off
Great concept.

Thanks aviator!...I believe they actually have a better burn rating than a steel tank, although it doesn't seem possible.

I have to say that, owning a Tundra CrewMax, the idea appeals to me. With the short bed, I either have to go with a bed tent or something else, a simple fiberglass top won't work. A rooftop tent on a rack of some sort would be cool, but I could pull a trailer with ease, and still be able to explore without having to close it all down.

DEAD THREAD REVIVAL

This is my contribution to the thread - custom ezi-trail extreme offroad

2,000Kg Nolathane full articulating hitch

Picked it up from the factory about 2 hours before this pic was taken on the 2nd day of a 14week honeymoon

Took about 35mins to set-up the first night we used it (note the slackness of canvas)

About a week later we could do it in half the time and get the canvas right

Yea, Its a personal import from Japan, never available either here or in the states - big brother of a Evo 6.5 with a couple of extra cylinders and an extra turbo, a tad over 300HP @ each corner, pulls the trailer quite briskly

It been quite awhile since an update...a few things have changed.

The ARB RTT is gone, and it was replaced with a "Command Post Tent"....a 11' x 11' marvel of modern technology. All told it weighs in about 300 lbs, witch includes 1 roof panel, 1 door panel, 2 window panels, and a flat panel (which is cut out to accommodate the rear doors of the trailer. There are 3 main aluminum frame sections. All told, no single pc. weighs more than 75 lbs....but it's a lot more fun to put up with help. I have set it up and taken it down 4 times by myself.

What precipitated the change was a trout fishing trip back in 2012 that ended up as a CF because of severe weather change. The wind was so bad, there was no way to set up the tent, or the 10' x 10' pop up canopy. I slept "inside" the camper for 4 nights, and was actually as snug as a bug in a rug! Just needed more space out the back for usable area to get out of the weather...this tent can handle it all!

Here some pics from some of the latest trips...The Cove, Gettysburg, Roscoe NY, Some PA state parks,

Looks great Pat!
I can almost smell the fresh air!

I am looking forward to some great camping in 2014 with the new gear I have been grabbing this year.

Interesting new trailer Pat... looks like a very robust little beast... like the matching wheels... and the add-a room with the wood stove? ...classic looks like you'd be right at home at a hunt camp...

There are some really inspiring trailers on here loaded with features, I thought I'd post some pics of my camping trailer. It's still a work in progress, I hope to finish it and finally use it this summer.
