5 Year Anniversary Around The Corner (May 2007)
It is close to that time of year again, YotaTech's anniversary, five years to be exact.
May 20th is the official day.
Last year I took upon a project of collecting photos from members of their rigs, and putting it into a Flash program complete with three AC/DC tunes.
http://home.comcast.net/%7Eyotatech/...eshow_2006.exe
Once again I will collect the pictures from members, then zip them up and put them on the server for our very talented Miss Molly by golly.
I am sure many of you have seen her handiwork in the Trip-Trail Reports & Photos section.
She can turn the project into a very nice video that can be played with most browsers.
The app I used last year some were not able to view the show.
Time now to start thinking of getting some nice pictures of your rigs, then start submitting them to me around the beginning of April.
Last year we asked for around three picture each, and sized at 800x600.
Sorry to say some did not follow the rules in the thread and submitted the wrong size picture to me, which I had to reject.
The slide shows look much better when all the pictures are sized the same.
I will update this thread when it is time to start emailing me the pictures, and with more info.
It is always best to use some compression on the pictures too so they are not huge in file size.
An 800x600 picture can look great at under 100 KB, and helps keep the show smaller and load quicker.
I am sure Molly can integrate some short video into it too, but that would be to big to email me.
You Tube vids will not work, she would have to enter the videos into the program she uses as either am MPG or a WMV file.
So dust off those camera lenses and start grabbing some pictures between now and April.

I wanna see your rig jumping another sand dune about 50'
Email might be best later, or here.
I gotta check the thread from last year to see how we did it.
And pics should be named as:
midiwall1.jpg
midiwall2.jpg
ect, ect, ect...
Here would work too if everyone had a picture account somewhere, but the thread would be humongous with three pics each, we can work that out later.
I think three pictures each is what we did last time.
I like how Molly does mainly pictures, but then throws in a short video for just a few seconds, then it goes back to pics again.
I still watch the one from last year, and coworkers get a kick out of watching it too.

Molly should be putting up a thread sometime today in this same section.
Last year I had us submit 3 800x600 pics, this year I think we can bump it up to 5 each.
Stay tuned to the Announcement forum here.
You might get your pics ready later hosted on your site/picture host to display later...

OK POST YOUR PICS HERE!!!!! (Corey I reposted ours and deleted them from here!)
https://www.yotatech.com/forums/show...6#post50474646
OK all, time to start submitting. Go ahead and submit up to 5 pics at the above link. (per Corey's size limits. I can also take video too (AVG, MS, and Quick Time) but they really need to be 7MB or under. If anyone out there had an FTP accoutn we can use that might help!
My email for this is:
lysmachia(dot)yotatech(at)gmail(dot)com
Make sure you try to adhear to Corey's size guidelines as listed above!
Looking forward to putting this together all!

Do you all pictures get to go in the anniversary thing? Or will it be all the extreme rigs? I know they make for prettier pictures, but for us (and by us, I mean me) 2WD guys...we can't do anything all that "extreme". lol.
