Yahoo Messenger Woes

Anybody have a problem with Yahoo Messenger disconnecting? It'll sit idle, then I'll go and IM somebody and it'll say I've lost my network connection. This is crap. No other messenger does it. I missed talking to my date from Thursday tonight!!

BTW, I'm on OSX 10.3.4.

I've never used Yahoo Messenger on OS X. However, try Fire http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/8933 At the very least it will help you figure out whether it is Yahoo's client that is having problems or if it's their network. Why not use iChat? AOL's IM network seems the most stable of all I have used.

Thanks for the FYI on Fire, I'll look into that and post back. I use iChat (great, clean client), as well as MSN. The funny this is that I didn't have any problems running Yahoo! on 10.4, but Yahoo! was virtually the ONLY thing that worked on it anyways!

Fire. Yuck. I don't like it at all, it's soo ugly. In fact, I think I tried it before. Seems like I'm much better off having 3 seperate apps hog my 1gb of ram.
