Bonus pack update
Saw a link in a thread on the UT forum, and I found out there is another bonus pack.
In fact it is the first one called cbp1
I have links in here for volumes one and two from Community Bonus Pack Two, but never included from the first one.
I just unzipped it, and there are a lot in there I have never heard of before.
These will get added to the server before next Fridays bouts.
http://download.beyondunreal.com/browse.php?cat=3
The first bonus pack I am talking about is this one:
cbp1.zip 137.49 MB October 21 2004
)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) )))))))))))))
Recap time...
With the recent addition of this first bonus pack (been playing some of the maps today when I got home, some look darn good) I will update this post here with links to get you started if you just bought the game and are in need of all the other files to play on the AllProGamer server.
Needed files to play UT 2004 here

You will need the following files in order to play UT 2004 on this server, here is a good page to get them from.
http://download.beyondunreal.com/browse.php?cat=3
In order to play on this server you will need the following files below.
Editors Choice Bonus Pack
Community Bonus Pack One
Community Bonus Pack Two, Volume One
Community Bonus Pack Two, Volume Two
3355 Patch (Windows), an exe file that updates you to the current version as of 9-25-05
A 37 mb zipped file on my server of a few custom maps I have collected, and it may grow in size if I add more to it
There are two maps packs at UCMPs website you also need.
The link here takes you to their download page, and you want to get both The Ultimate Community MapPack Vol 1 and MapPack Vol 2.
These have some really nice CTF maps in them.
I also used the "Beyond Unreal" link at the site to get the maps from.
These list a few different sites to get them from.
Happy fraggin'

Bump for Friday night.
We have a few pros hitting the server now, and it is very hard to stay alive.
They are Counter Strike Source players on Andy's server, and one guy named Solo (SuperBeast in UT) use to play ladders in competition in UT 2004, he is very good.
Added the Car Ball mod.
You are in a vehicle and have to push a ball into a goal, much like soccer.
Many maps to choose from, and you can also customize your vehicle with a paint job and other bling.
To play Car Ball though, you need the 75 MB or so mod.
I do not have a link for it now, but I am sure you can find it with Google.

I have 2.52.
I see a patch on this page, but not sure if I need it since I have 2.53.
Perhaps it is to upgrade 2.5 to 2.52, or it is a specific patch for the current 2.52.
We will be playing some CTP maps tonight from Bonus Pack One.
There are 3 really good ones.
The best 2 of the older pack are Ferris and TechDream.
Andy's girlfriend (ParisHilton) will be working tonight, so she will not be able to join in.
But she was a big help last Friday night.
We communicate via TeamSpeak, and it works quite well for stratagy.
I have mine now setup for voice activation.
No need to push the side mouse button any more to talk.

New game style added
The UT Comp 1.6a mutator I run for the game has two of its own extra game styles.
One is called UT Comp Clan Arena.
It is team based death match, and you get all weapons up front, and there are no powerups in the game such as adrenaline or speed.
It involves 15 rounds at 2 minutes each, or the rounds go until the opposing teams members are all out.
If you get fragged, you are out until the next round begins.
This is almost like the way Counter Strike works.
Here is a 17 MB vid I created in game.
Right click here to save to your comp and view.
Its kind of a change of pace compared to CTF and regular TDM.

We have beer for you
Found a custom map and added it to the rotation list for CTF games.
It is called Beer Wars.
Instead of picking up adrenaline pills to boost your adrenaline higher, you pick up beer cans.
With each pickup you let off a nice belch.
I have an 11 mb video here.
Be forewarned though, there is one "auto taunt" my character says at the end of the video, and it is not work safe!
It is the "s" word.

In heaven...
Some of you use to play the old Classic UT 99 with me, and one of the maps we played was called Lava Giant.
It was one of my favorites for CTF in the old series.
Well, after doing some searching on the UT forum I use, I found out that Cory Spooner who made the "Deep" CTF map in the Community Bonus Pack Two for UT 2004 made a remake of the old classic Lava Giant for UT 2004, and it rocks!
http://spoondog.beyondunreal.com/ut2kxmaps.html
It has the same music file, and the map looks better.
This is already loaded on the All Pro Gamer server by me a bit ago, so I would suggest any who play with us on Friday nights and the weekend to get the map soon.
I will host the map later and upload it to my zipped file on this page
http://www.pnw4runners.com/gaming/ut2004/index.htm
but FTP for my site and the forum here is down for now.
PS, FTP is back up, and I added this new map to the zip file in the link above on my site.

New frag movie out by Unreal North
http://www.ataricommunity.com/forums...hreadid=499448
These guys are very hardcore players, and have put together a great movie showing some of the best frags out there.
WARNING:
There is a tad bit of bad langauge in it, so if you are at work, headphones would best be advised.
There are two file types listed in their link, and I went for the 300 + mb AVI one.
Also we are moving the UT server I admin to a new IP this week.
The current server outfit Andy rents from is upping the rent, so he dod some shopping and found a much better deal.
The current server we are on now will expire November 1st.
Details on the IP of where we will be moving to can be found at www.allprogamer.com as I updated the page yesterday.
The new server will be a 3.2 proc, 2 GB of RAM, and a very phat pipe.

Major update
Andy is on a new server, less money, but it may be faster.
The old host tried to jack up the price, so Andy went with the guy's ex business partner who hates Forona, and gave him a better deal.
The IP for the game and TeamSpeak has changed to
69.90.135.186
Will be on tonight from 7 to 8 or so PST.

Cool...
Make sure you have ALL the files listed here.
That 37 MB file I mention in the link on my site has grown though
Get a mic or headset too, only way to play.
Lance (Goodtimes) has been playing lately, and my son, Andy's GF Karen, and we all use headsets to talk with each other.

Cool...
With you being in WA. state, you should get a good ping.
Even Lance 3 states away gets a very good ping.
My son is using a Comcast cable connection via wireless router, and he gets around 14 to 20 ping, lower than my "wired" Comcast connection of around 20 to 40 ping.
He thinks his neighborhood is less saturated than mine with the number of users on the nodes, so that may account for his lower ping.
We see some lag every now and then, but Andy is working on getting that fixed, but some of that may be attributed to the fact that his Counter Strike Source game is full most of the time with 32 players.

We get 6 megabit down, and I think 300 kb up load.
They just upped us to 6 a short time back.
Very fast up here.
I am not seeing the whole 6 though, old cable modem.
I am going to get a new Motorola Surfboard 5100 or whatever the new one is later down the road.
That will improve my speed.
