Printer Sharing/Home Network

I set up a home network and can't seem to get the printer sharing thing going on.

It is connected to my desktop but shouldn't I be able to share it with the laptop without a print server? Or am I way off?

Can you share files between both PCs?
Both PCs must have the same network name.
Did you right click your printer icon in the Control Panel and choose share?

If so, navigate to the PC that is not connected to the printer and choose Add Printer from its Control Panel.
Choose printer on a network, and not local.

That should do it after a reboot.
If not, I do not know what is up.

This is how I set up mine on my network.
