NETBOOK or NOTEBOOK....tell me

Which should I get? Simple as that.

Have a desktop that died about a month ago and exclusively use our laptop now. I've never been much of a tech guy so, in other words, I know I'm only using a small percetage of the capabilities of the computer.

I know NETBOOKS are inexpensive and seem to be intended for the purpose I want them for.....namely browsing and haunting YOTATECH....but also picture filing is a must.

No gaming / webcam or crap like that....we have our gaming consoles for games....and I don't need a webcam.

Looking for some solid opinions preferrably from those that have netbooks........

I use my desktop for gaming & my netbook for portability around the house. I pretty much use the netbook for surfing & simple tasks and it works great for that. It is noticeably slower than my desktop, but it doesn't bother me much. When I see a regular sized laptop, they look obnoxiously huge to me now. I love my netbook.

Really I always though a computer was a huge waste of money for me and I guess, really, it has been. I had wanted to get WEB-TV (I think that's what it was called)....a few years back....because it served the purpose for what I needed.

Truthfully, but it's kinda a pain, we can use the Wii for browsing....but again it's not the same....but it would work in a pinch I guess.

Yeah, if that's all you want it for, they're a good choice. If you don't plan on doing any video work or games, you can't be the price.
