My MSN messenger is jacked!
Anyone else having problems? I have Version 6.2 and it has worked fine for a while but the other day when I opened my outlook express which also opens MSN messenger automatically my PC froze up. I tried to open just MSN and it freezes up everytime and I have to force a restart. I downloaded it again off the MSN site and it asks you if you want to fix corrupt files and I have done that twice now and it still wont work. I have current Anti Virus software and I use Ad-Aware SE to scan for spyware weekly. Anyways any ideas what is left to do? If I uninstall it and reinstall it I 'm thinking I'll loose my address book. Any ideas?

I'm not familiar with MSN messenger, but I'd think there'd be a way to backup your address book. Search around for that and uninstall.
Are you talking about the address book in Outlook Express?

If you mean the "buddy list" in messenger, I'm pretty sure that's stored on MSN's servers as you can set it up on another computer and the list follows you automatically.

Well I downloaded Beta and as soon as the install was complete and it tried signing me in my PC froze again. I restarted and completely removed the program and re downloaded Beta and tried again and it opened right up I put in my password and as soon as I clicked on sign in my PC froze again. It came unfroze but kept freezing and unfreezing. I finally got MSN shut down with Control Alt Delete. Something is on my PC that MSN doesn't like at all. Gotta go and find out what it is.

I've been having trouble with mine for the last week but not anything like you're mentioning. Mine has just been totally incorrect in telling me how many emails I have waiting.
