Help with my Mac at work... (Poopchute)

I've got an older G3 Mac at work that they gave me to learn on. However, they don't know the user name or password for the account that's set up on the computer. Also, we don't have the OS X cd that came with it. I really want to get it up and running so I can start getting familiar with the OS, since most of my job deals with troubleshooting.

So, is there any way I can reset the OS without the CD, or get around the password or something like that? I know it sounds bad and sounds like I'm trying to break into somebody's computer... but take my word for it when I say that nobody/nothing will be harmed by anything I try.

You can use the Mac OS X CD to change the password but what should work for you is to just make a new account for yourself and then set the autologin to your new account. Or are you stuck at the login screen? If autologin is turned on, you can restart the Mac and it will just login to the desktop-no password required.
