Help with a mac... ewww

I am trying to back up about 200gigs of files for work, as our PCs are getting wiped, we currently only have 1pc left and this new G5 mac, with 2 of the 20" monitors 8) Although I dont care for macs, it sure is pretty.

Anyways, We backed everything up on an external HD. Now are trying to transfer it over to the mac so we can continue working, however when we pull up the HD, we can only view half of our folders. We can access some stuff, but others we can not. it does not display or register. It shows

"1 of 5 Items selected"

when we know we have 8 folders on the drive. When we plug the external back into a PC it can see everything.

weird, any ideas? my commander is starting to bug us about our productivity, he doesnt understand when you have 3 people and only 1 workable computer things dont work to well... Go officers

What format is the external drive in? Mac's don't play well with NTFS, but will read FAT32 fine.
