My friend snagged a copy last week from a Sony rep who he went to HS and I got a whopping 4 minutes of playing time due to 12 other friends of his there also.
Plus the web link has video footage of a bunch of stuff including the Canyon footage.

the game is alot harder then gt3, and theres so many great cars, i really have a hard time choosing. but other then that, its a great game.. hard to really rate the appearance as i dont have hdtv, but im sure it looks better then the last

Played it for a few hours last night-fun, fun, fun!!! I picked up the Logitech steering force wheel for GT3 last night. I couldn't see spending $150 for the G4 version. Drop the controls and grab the steering wheel. That's the closest thing to racing I'll ever experience.

Finally bought my copy.
Started off with blowing my $110,000 into a '04 (isn't it an '05?) Toyota Tacoma X-Runner
Don't do that... it's money down the toilet. Fun little truck though.

Personally I like driving phis of GT3 better. I think GT4 has too much under-steer. Ive only driven stock vehicles, so maybe I'm just used to fully decked out cars or something, but my buddy is playing the game for real (kind-of defeats the purpose just to use the last game since we have over a million in the bank b/c then we wouldn't actually play it). I'll let you know more when I get more seat time...

This game is awesome, and extremely addictive. It does handle a lot different than GT3, a lot more realistic I think. One thing they fixed is the ramming the computer in the back around a hairpin corner. I can't be the only one who did this in GT3. Now the screen gets really blurry and it's hard to figure out where to go. Well I'm on a break between classes so I'll start saving for money for the $80,000 turbo for my skyline.

I've been playing with the wheel tonight, VERY fun with it.
My car of choice at the moment is a '95 Mitsubishi 3000GT (Blue) pushing 841hp. I estimated it's 0-60 time to be 2.7 seconds.
Very fun game indeed.

i am 15% finished.
Favoret car is a ~800hp 1980 toyota supra
fastest is a 1000+hp cadaliac concept
Winning most car is a Totota Concept Rally car
my goal is to own every toyota in the game.
edit: anyone else notice a shaking scree/rendering problem when veiwing pre and post race stuff? not when you crash, just when you have multiple cars on the screen.

Yeah that shaky camera thing in the replays and startup is normal.
I'm about 20% through the game and saving up for a $4,500,000 Toyota GTone.
I'm at the last tournament race in the professional serious and I'm getting smoked with my best cars. If I spend this much money on that Toyota and I lose, I probably won't play ever again.
