Google just released a new 3D modeling tool:

Sketch-Up

Watch the tutorials... they're very helpful.

Sketch-up has been around since 1999. I have used it for work for a couple of years, but it looks like Google is partners now or something. It is a pretty cool program because it is easy to learn, it's very limited but quick.

Hopefully they will take this and enhance it like they did with Earth (which was Keyhole).

Google bought sketch-up. It's becoming cheaper for google to buy small companies than to make it themselves. Sort of how Microsoft got started, eh?
