Firefox and Active-X pages
I was researching an issue for a buddy who was having trouble with the Sirius (sat radio) online player under Firefox. It seems that it won't show the "now playing" information (artist/track).
Turns out it's 'cause Sirius decided to use an Active-X control for that function (argh). Out of curiosity, I dug a bit deeper and found info buried in one of the Sirius user forums that talks about dealing with this.
There are three things that you can do to get Active-X working (actually embedded Media Player calls), one includes a plugin which will only let WMP talk to Active-X which contains most of the security issues around it.
I thought I'd pass along the root article:

just get the yahoo widgets engine and then the neoscrib's sirius tuner...
trust me, the sirius play blows chunks.
neoscrib's player looks like a gen 1 PnP player...
