I'm going to upgrade to G5 soon but waiting to see what the new iMac will be like.

Right now,
I like "Windows Media Center 2004", its not your normal way of doing things, and that fits me.
Pause, record live TV (like tivo) as well as shows 3 weeks away. Backup DVD's to one of two 200gig drives
play games like "Call of Duty", "UT2004 demo"
Burn rented DVD's "DVD SHRINK"...Media Center lets me do a lot
My computer monitor is the Sony WEGA HDTV 36" flatscreen that connects via DVI cable (ATI-AIW vid card). I feel with this setup I get best of both worlds.

DOS... Never got a blue screen of death in DOS, than again I think when I was running DOS it was a monochrome monitor. ??
Still FAST. No Crashes. No Bull˟˟˟˟˟.

yep the only differance is the usb ports work without going though a load sequence every time you plug somethin in. Unstable as hell though.

wow. acually I had to relearn DOS since when I build my system the BIOS wouldn't allow me to Load WIndows XP would statr and crash on install. I had to load DOS to do what the BIOS updater had to do and then Load XP. Also I found out my EOS Digital REbel camera uses DOS. I guess I just won't die. XP does have DOS still. call command Prompt. The ping command is fun to screw with pop up compnies.

I run a mix:
Win. 2000 Adv. Server - Web/Mail Server
Win. 2000 Pro - Laptop
Win. XP Pro - Desktop
Slackware Linux - Another Desktop
XP Pro is by far my favorite Microsoft OS. Like someone said, it's hard to run linux as your main desktop with 1% of software written for it.

Can you have two favorites? I use OS X 10.3 Panther and Vitual PC with XP Pro on my laptop. I also use XP Pro and PearPC with OS X on one of my home pc's ( the emulation is a bit sluggish at times but works quite well. Both systems work really well although XP has gaming cornered.
