1 prong connector? got a pic, im thinking you mean rca? cause s-video has about 5 pins, and theres 40 in a dvi, or 15 in svga. usually theres a key to push, with dells, you hold down the function key, then press the key with the pic of the 2 displays or with the labeling 'crt/lcd' (after its been connected)

yea, looking at the tiny internet pictures of your laptop, you should have the function key in the bottom left region of the keyboard, then up in the F keys, or number keys, there should be the screen toggle (in the same colour as the function key) if you cant find it. go to your desktop properties, then go to settings, you'll see 2 boxes, one with a '1' and one with a '2' right-click on the '2' and click attached. the projector should kick in.

its probably different with all computers....with my Toshiba I need to press ALT-F5 after its plugged into the projector or tv....there is a little pic of an LCD screen next the F5 print...good luck, check the manual if you have it and maybe even call IBM tech support
