computer CD Drive question

Hi

I am wondering why the CD drive on my computer will play music CDs that will skip on my other CD players due to scratches or other damage. Doex the computer CD drive have better error correction or something?

Thanks.

Could be the laser is angled/placed differently in the CD-ROM drive than it is in the CD player. Or error correction like you said...

computers are usually a lot more advbanced than regular cd players... thats why they cost way more.... also, a computer cd player usually can play vcds, mp3s, mpegs, wma, avi, etc all those formats that a cd player doesnt support.....

Give it a shot. It won't hurt anything.
