CD Burning software...

I'm really retarded when it comes to these types of things. I had to wipe my entire HD and reload XP pro not too long ago. I tried to dual boot Red Hat and XP. Needless to say, my computer was FUBAR. I had a good burning program installed with my computer (HP), and I can't remember the name, not that its important anyway.

My question is what is the best CD burning program?

I recently "acquired" 57 gigs of MP3's, and I need to burn some of them soon.

Thanks!!!!!

I still like Nero Burning Rom. Does the job, and is easy to work with. I found that EZ CD Creator makes changes to the windows boot and is hard to uninstall when you want to ditch it. Not a good thing in my opinion.

Nero 6.
I have the full blown version, but the demos on their site work very well too.

You only need three programs from them if you demo it.
1. Burning Rom
2. Nero Express
3. In CD

The latter is the one that will make your DVD & CD burner act as a floppy drive when you have a re-writtable disc in by right clicking a file and using the "send to" command to send it to the disc.

Be sure to update the programs often, as about once a month or less they release 3 updates for the 3 programs above.

And yes, Nero will convert on the fly an MP3 into a WAV file as it is burning it to an audio CD.
I have to do it that way, as my head unit in the rig won't play raw MP3 files.

Thanks guys! One more question, the majority of the 57 gig is in WMA format. What is a good program to convert them?

I believe if these are already WMA files, just fire up Windows Media Player 9 and you can copy and burn them to a CD in the program.

It will convert them on the fly to WAV files so it will become an audio CD for playback in any player.

I used to use Roxio Easy Creator 5 Platinum. Now with my new PC with DVD burner I use Nero and DVD shrink. Much better improvement.

I like Nero, CD Clone, and BlindDisc for all my copying needs.
