Decided I needed a little tech project to get lost in. Scrounged up some mostly free stuff and built a mobile GPS tracking system to take on the trails.

That looks cool. I have an old CMF-34 Toughbook that would be perfect for that!

 

subscribed, might have to try this out. however, one thing they did not mention is the possibility to have to use a power inverter, since battery power might not last long enough for long trips.

 

Got one! 12V to 15.1V. I need to get an antenna and a mount!

Might find a 2nd life for my Old Dell Laptop instead of recyling it...
