Here's mine.

I've got a Realistic TRC-453 that has been modded to run on 26/27MHz as our CB freq used to be 26MHz but we are now allowed to use 27MHz (not that it stopped anyone!)

I've also got a UNIDEN uh-012SX 5w PRS rig (our version of the American FRS except between 476.4250 and 477.4125.) We used to have 40 channels and now have 80. Used to be a channel every 25KHz (Wideband) and now have on every 12.5KHz (Narrowband) So channel 1 is 476.4250 channel 2 is 476.4500 and channel 41 is 476.4375

I've also got a wee PA system.

There is plenty of clearance. The radio is flush with the cd player.

Yeah if the cb was flat it would stick out way too far (1in of shifter clearance), but angled it has well over 5 (plus it will be easier to adjust and read).

What I did was used a 2x4 piece just as wide as the CB and screwed two of the 65 pound magnets to it. I used some epoxy around the magnets before putting up against the roof. I have pounded this thing to death and it is solid.

Figured I would make my 1st post somewhat useful. The Uniden pro538W is a perfect fit in my '87 runner. I may have got lucky but the knobs that hold the CB to the bracket lined up perfectly to the metal bracket that the CD player is mounted to. In order for me to get it to sit flush with the CD player I had to drill a hole through the floor heat duct to route the coax through.
