when i got my garmin ique, i was so lost on mapping. it seemed like nothing was working, like the maps were bad, and it didnt quite function correctly.

now that i have had it for months i am an expert in operating it... its quick, accurate and convenient. you just need to give it time, do your research, get the proper software and practice with it till you understand it...

it should be easier, and its getting easier, but if youre patient im sure youll catch up to it.

Been playing with this thing all day. Man there is a lot of crap to know about it. I installed the software and loaded the maps to the GPS... much better! I didn't leave the house today, so I didn't get to try it out. But I did program some waypoints into it today (my house, brother's, work, etc) and have created routes for it. I think the software for my computer works much better than creating it on the GPS itself. So far at least. I'm sure it'll get easier when I have had it awhile.

Edwin, if you're not busy tomorrow, call me and you can stop by and check it out!

I too just got the Garmin 60CS for Xmas and mounted it in my truck and I love it so far. I love the fact that I can take it with me when I go on hiking trails etc. I am also glad I got the automotive kit that came with it so I can load on the maps etc. for driving around the city. It also came with several mounts and a extneral power cord. Like Erik said though there is still alot I haven't figured out about this thing, but it is def. worth the money.
