CB wiring

I just realized I think I made a big mistake when I bought my antenna and mount.

I bought awhile back and installed what I thought was a no ground plane side molded mount (similar to this but it doesnt say anything about no ground plane http://www.walcottcb.com/firestik-lg...kit-p-974.html ) and a firestick II antenna.

Instead, I somehow bought (now that I been looking into getting another CB setup and realized this) the set up with a ground and the firestick II antenna separately. Now, it showed clearly in the little paper they send with it to ground it to the mount, I did this and have yet to tune but I can pick up most things decently and talk to my buddies no problem...

Just worried something aint right. I followed the instructions just like it says and grounded it to the second bolt.

This seem right?

just connect the coax to the top bolt and its ground to the lower bolt..

you might need to ground the mount with an additional wire to the truck ..depends on where its mounted.

i grounded my mount to the truck as well on my rig
