cb question

k i did a search but i couldn't find what i was looking for. i'm mounting the cb antenna on the passenger side right next to the hood near where the regular radio antenna is. the problem is i cant figure out how to get the antenna wire from the antenna to the cb inside the cab. i want to leave the regular radio antenna there. i can see a rubber seal/gasket thing that has wires going through it into the cab area from the engine bay but i dont know if its ok to cut into it to run the new wire through. im new to this so dont be too hard on me lol. any help is appreciated thanks.

no dont cut into it. thats a grommet, and if you cut into it, every time you go through a puddle, water will come into the cab. take the grommet out, run the wire, then put the grommet back.

Remove your corner panel and run it under that and in the front of the door fame. after that run it from your kick panel under the carpet and to your cb. you kind just gotta play around with it there is know right way to instal it.

Either you run it through the gromet (I pushed mine through it among other wiring) or you run it under the carpet area into the fender area.

or cut a hole in the gasket and run your wires threw it to the right lenghth then get a tube of black gasket sealer and goop it shut
