look into diamond audio subs, eclipse subs, jl's. If you want a real crisp sound then stick with 8-10" subs. I install stereo's part time and I've learned over the years to stay away from kenwood. Your not gonna get the sound you want out of those they distort badly and have an extremely long beak-in period in my experience. Go for high quality subs.

Sub

I have A 10" JL audio sub, in a JL Audio PowerWedge. I keep it held down with bungie cords right behind the back seat. I have a 300Watt amp mounted under the passenger seat. It has really good sound. I like it a lot because it sounds like more than a ten inch. It's something about the size and shape of the car but that sub pumps out a lot of bass. I have compared it to bigger systems and it just sounds cleaner. You might look into it.

hey man, i feel you. i dont have that stuff because it weighs my car down. I mean all I have are alpine 6.5 compoents in front, alpine coaxials in back powered by alpine 4ch amp. and head unit. no bass needed, it sounds clean enough.

Thanks . To be honest, the only part I really like about my audio is the OEM NAV and the Morel components up front.

I may be looking into some Dynaudios in the near future to replace the Morels up front or put them in the rear. I'll have to do some experimenting though.

Kicker has a sub that comes in its own box, in an 8 inch size....ive listened to it many a time in several different cars. It has good bass, but not too much....tried to find a link, if they still make the stupid thing. no luck tho. I gave up on subs, they just got in the way alot and the got dust and junk all over them.

You may want to try doing a search at "www.highdesertaudio.com" (sorry, I don't know how to do "links" yet), which is an internet distributor of new & reconditioned "RF" equipment.

If you want good sound quality, I would suggest you look at Image Dynamics. They make some nice stuff
