Sub Box Questions

Sub Box Questions
alright well ive got it all figured out, im going with the 2 Kicker S12L7's. im doing a box like some people have posted up with some sort of storage in the middle and then the sub boxes built up on the sides i guess wired in reverse polarity to one another? that's what iv'e heard?
now i have 3 quick questions:
1) the ports on each of the side boxes will be aimed at each other (not on purpose just as per the design) will this cause a problem? there will be about 20 inches in between them so is this enough space?
2) the way i really want ti build this is quazi messed up by the retarded driver side wheel well. If i were to build around the lump on the drivers side box making the airspace in that box aprox. .125ft3 smaller than the box on the passenger side would this be ok? or do the two boxes need to be exactly identical?
3) for the port, think of what a typical kicker vented box looks like, with the slot port on the opposite end of the sub, can the port be all the way against the inside of the box? or do i need to leave like an inch or so?

Kicker reccomends a min of 1.75 cu ft and a max of 3.25 cu ft in a vented box or a min of .88 cu ft and a max of 2 cu ft in a sealed box for this sub. I think you need to have each chamber the same size (unless you could accomodate for the difference with the size of the port). You could use wood blocks or closed cell foam in the larger chamber to take up a .12 cu ft and make them equal.

Honestly I dont think you'd be happy with how you are planning on setting those up. Instead fire the subs up and port back even if the boxes are separated, its the only way to go in an SUV. A port will always need at least 1.5x it's widest dimension away from any obsticale or else it effectively tunes the port lower and induces turbulence (inside the box) and reduces efficiency somewhat.
Box size when ported depends on the power you are applying as well...2cubes per is a good starting point however.
