Speaker install help, please
Hey everyone,
I have a 1991 2dr Toyota 4Runner and I was wanting to look at the rear speakers. Is there any easy way to gain access to these, or what would i have to do to get them out?
Thanks,
Zach

Hmmmm...this will be fun!
You have to take off the rear plastic piece on the floor of the cargo area, the piece in the middle back part of the cargo area on the roof, then move up to the rear doors and remove the trim along the floor (both sides) and the plastic that runs along the side from the floor to the rear wheel wells (both sides). Then you get to carefully remove ther rear (large) side pannels from both sides to access the speakers. So all in all you have to remove 6 pannels in order to get the main pannels to access the speakers (8 pannels in all). Its not really that bad but you have to be carefull to not break any of the little pop clips on the main pannels (the large ones that go all around the window).....wait a second I just realized you said (2) door....I guess I'm not totally sure on that? Without looking at it I would just say that most likely any plastic that touches the pannel that covers the speaker you would have to remove and then remove the pannel that covers the speaker. It might help if you posted pics? or maybe someone else with a 2 door can chime in and help you out a little better as I only have worked on a 4 door.
