this is what was in my 1990 4runner. The JL amps fit almost perfectly under the front seats, only scrapped a little bit on one side.

both

4channel

sub amp

here is the deck that was in it...

probably going to put this in, with the nav unit under the seat

here are the subs in the origional box

and in my first attempt at fiberglass. these sound good, but not too sure If i like the way it looks. I might recover them and trim the side pannels to fit, and see how I like it.

not sure where I'm going to put this new amp in the rig

sorry for all the pictures, but I like cameras and stereo's so I can't help myself

I paid someone. Do you feel macho because you installed yours?

Here's mine it's a 4 channel Earthquake amp under the driver seat. The front 2 channels power the 4 interior speakers and the rear 2 channels are bridged to a 10" sub.

I am thinking about doing a 5 channel in the rear somewhere, maybe behind the driverside cargo area.

To everyone who has their amps fixed to their boxes; did you do anything to limit the vibrations from breaking things loose in your amps? Just wondered if there have been troubles. I'm trying to find the time to build a box that will conceal the amp and a sub, so I was looking at rubber isolation bushings from W. M. Berg.

I mounted my amp on top of my box and made enough room to the side for a 1 farad power capacitor. The subs absolutely boom. Check it out.
