I have two 12 inch rockford r2's downfiring with 6x9s in boxes on top. It sounds great but I have to have my bucket seats all the way forward and reclined strait up which is fine if you are 5'9'' or less. I also have that stock bench thing so what I'm thinking is putting a single ten behind the drivers seat with the bench set up. If anyone has ideas for boxes (I want ported if possible) let me know. Also, help me out with the subs. I'm caught between these two

custom sub box

tmcameron, do you have an xtra cab or a regular? I have a regular and I have 2 Kicker CompCVR 10"-ers, I built a custom box but it allows you to fit some pretty monstrous subs in less space. I could easily fit 12's and still have enough air volume if I get some that weren't quite as deep. the magnets on the Kickers are HUGE.

Well a year later I finally decided on the RE SE 10. It sounds just splendid! Here is a video which of course does not capture the bass at all..

I've had 2 12" kicker solo-barics behind the bench seat for 22 years, standard cab, .88 cu ft each.

I have a 12 in sub in custom box with amp bolted to padded back rest, and put pioneer speakers in custom mount where factory extra cab speakers would go and have Boston acoustic in front factory location. Head unit is Sony. It all worked up until a couple months ago when I finished truck to bring out for first time. Now head unit isn't getting power and think it's a bad wire.

I built a custom box and fit two 10's in the back of my 92' Extra cab. Folded down the seats and set the box on top of them fits perfect. Only down side is you cant lean the seats back if they're slid all the way back. have to scoot them forward then lean. Dont know if this helps at all. Also why a 15? In my opinion you'll get better sound quality out of two 10s and have it be just as loud if not louder than a 15. 10's have a better repsonse to frequency change and can adapt to alot of different types of music.
