New system pics

http://webpages.charter.net/praufet/stereo/ Took me two weeks, a week more than planned. I think it turned out nice, thought the camera shows all the flaws.

How did you mount the pods on the door? How are the tweeters aimed? they look like they pointed straight and a little down? Do the pods open up to the door?

I was planning something similar, but most guys didn't think I would have enough volume for the midbass. I may still do it. Just for the experience of 'glassing'.

I just made new how for the pocket and few wood screw through the hardboard. The tweeters aren't really aimed, cdt sells some imaging tweeters that I'll probably buy. I don't quite get what you mean if they open up to the door.

If you remove the pod, is there a hole in the panel to the inside of the door?

So the pod is mounted from the inside of the panel? I don't see any exposed screws.

no, the back of the pod is a .5" piece of mdf. In hindsight, I would've routed out most of the back just leaving a ring and used panel bonding adhesive to secure it to the hard board and make a simial hole in the hardboard. I'm not sure why there'd be any exposed screws. I just took off half the door panel, pushed it forward, held the pod in place and put some screws throught the back of the hard board to secure it. Feel free to ask more questions too.
