MB Quart or Boston Components

Which is makes a better component speaker for a 1999 4 runner in the 200-500 price range. I will be using a alpine v12 MRV F540 Amp. What size and which for the 5.25 rear doors? What models?? THanks, Brian

MB or Boston is a tough choice. Might as well look at the Infinity Kappa Perfects

Yeah, those MB's are nice... I put my old pair in my GF's Olds Alero, which has a similar arrangement as us.... they were only 5.25's middle of the line off a factory deck. There wasn't much for low midbass, which you couldn't expect, but the sound was VERY warm, seemless, and I was impressed. I have CDT HD's which are a very nice and pretty expensive pair and these Quarts blend much better. My dad has some Boston Rally's.... and I'm not at all impressed by them. So, I'd say you're good with either set but realize that your install will greatly affect the sound, mostly in regards to the mid/midbass department. Good luck!

You might want to consider Diamond audio or eclipse. Both are as good if not better as MB Quart. I too am debating between MB Quart, Diamond and eclipse. For the price though MB quart RCE 216 wins overall. The PCE 216, if you can afford them would be amazing with a good deck and upgraded wiring.

MBQ tweeters are too 'tinny' (? for lack of a better word)

+1 for Focal.
