Look at the part 'Functions Disabled';does that mean everytime you use your iPod with the iCruze it locks up?

Will I still be able to use my iPod controls and display once I have connected to iCruze?
No. There are 2 reasons. #1 - It's a driver distraction and could be dangerous. #2 - For the utmost reliable data transfer possible, your iPod is placed into UART (Universal Asynchronous Receiver/Transmitter) mode which prevents the onboard controls/display from functioning.
I don't use a playlist. How do I play my music?
Unfortunately, you will need to set up a playlist in order for iCruze to function correctly.
How do I set up a playlist?
See your iPod owners manual and iTunes setup guide
Basically, you have 6 playlists (6 CD's on the CD changer) that you name a certain way, and you control everything from the factory radio. The down fall is that you can't select certain artists and play only them unless you set up a playlist ahead of time.
While this does suck, I usually listen to playlists while driving anyways. And if i really want to listen to one perticular artist, i'll just use a tape deck.
