HELP making a deal! Car Reciever

Hey everyone first post,
I was wondering if I should get a JVC KD-X200 for my 4runner for 70$ on crutchfield, or buy a Alpine CDE-W235BT for 120 from a friend! The Alpine is 80$ cheaper and is still in great condition.
Just wanted some opinions, because i dont know if it's worth investing in a stereo. What do you guys think?

The JVC:

Neither. Go to Amazon, they are cheaper than Crutchfield. The JVC you linked is digital only so it won't play CD's. Double-DIN receivers aren't worth the money unless you want some 7" video screen or something like that.

I bought a Kenwood KDC-225U just a month ago and I'm really happy with it. Plays CD's has a USB port, and an Auxiliary port. Only paid $70 including shipping off Amazon. I went ahead and bought an extension to the USB (you're not supposed to plug a flash drive straight in the unit, it will overheat it), mini USB to charge my phone, and Auxiliary cord. I just have all my music in the car at any time on a 16GB flash drive (had to use the Kenwood Music Editor Light to create a library file on it though for faster browsing).

However, if you're taking out the stock receiver, you're going to need to do a fair amount of re-wiring to get it to work. Just a heads up.

Hey thanks, my mechanic is installing for free. I just need a stereo. Do you think i would be able to resell the 120$ player easily?

Depends, I see used ones on Ebay, Craigslist and such. Not sure if they sell though, since there's no way to tell which used ones are legit and which ones were stolen. If you paid $120, probably won't be able to see it for $120 though, unless you never used it and have all the packaging.

Remember that when you buy from Crutchfield they will answer their phone at 10PM and help you with any troubles you may have, they're great! I have personally never liked JVC, they seem "cheap, Wally-world status" to me..
