ok, now what is the differance between 2 channel amps 4channel amps?

2 channel means that you can send power from the amp to 2 speakers. or, if your amp is capable, you can bridge (combine) those two channels into one channel to power a single speaker. usually, this is done to power a single subwoofer.

i have a 4 channel amp. i use 1 channel to power the driver's side front component speakers. the 2nd channel is used to power the passenger side front components. the 3rd and 4th channels are bridged to power a single 10" sub.
