Guys with Subs...Rattle question

Hey fellas. I have two 12" JL W0's...sound great and all, but there's certain times where rattling just drives me up the wall.

There seems to be a really bad rattle from the passenger side...sounds like it's almost coming from the glove compartment. Can't figure out exactly where the rattle is, but it's enough to make you go nuts.

Any idea what that rattle might actually be? Ive cleared out the glove box and it still does it.

BTW, I ahve a 3rd gen..98 to be exact.

Is it the rod for the door latch? That metal rod threads inside to out, pressing up against another metal sheet (inner door skin)...

There's really no way of getting rid of the rattling sound. The only way to help rid most of it is to install dynamat or similar.

Try checking the fuel door by standing outside of your vehicle with the doors closed and the radio playing by walking around it and pressing on it here and there to see if the "rattle" stops.

If it does indeed turn out to be the fuel door, I managed to fix mine withsome self-adhesive, rubber weather stripping that I ran around the inside outer edge of the fuel door..., makes it "pop" open when I hit the release too.
