Talking Factory Amp in 3rd gen?

Does anyone know if there is a factory amp in the 3rd gen 4Runners? I recently replaced all 4 speakers and my head unit and was thinking about adding on an amp and a basslink. I didn't know if I would encounter any problems of any kind if I was somehow still running through my factory amp as well?

nope the only factory amp is that small one behind the radio you would of had to take it out to install a new cd player

So was the small amp actually attached to the factory head unit? I don't remember seeing anything like that........

You dont have to take it out to install a new HU. But putting the aftermarket HU in automatically bypasses it.
