Door wiring help
hello,
im trying to mount component speakers on my door. everything is mounted already. im having a heck of a time routing the wires through that rubber piece where all the door wires are running through. is there an easier way of running the speakers wire through? any help will be greatly appreciated!

I used one of the ling 12-15" zip ties. Cut off the square end, tape the wires to one end, and feed the zip tie through the grommet. It'll go, but it may take a few tries. Thats how I do it...but thats just me.
Or, you can mount the crossover box in the door, and use the stock speaker wire. Then you don't have to worry about running new wires through the grommet.

I pulled the door boot from the door and removed the kick panel. I think I pushed a screwdriver through the boot to make sure there was a "path" and I lubed the wire with some soapy water to make the pass easier.
The zip tie sounds like a good idea though.

i finally mounted my tweeters on those triangular plastic piece located by the side mirrors. i did use the coat hanger and it wasnt that difficult. i have the tweeters installed with the aftermarket 4" speakers under the dash and so far it sounds pretty good. i will door mount these 6.5" speakers once i have the time. too busy with work right now. thanks for the help guys!
