So my stereo will display like track titles and artist name and stuff like that. but only a few cd's will do it. I don't know how to make a burn't cd display all that stuff on there...any ideas?? i usually burn with windows media player but i've also used nero.

Are you doing it in MP3 format?

 

If your cd burner supports it, then there is an option in nero to choose "write cd text."

Older burners don't, and I"ve found very few commercial cds that come with it already burned that way.

 

using windows media it burns .wma i'll look into nero again

A problem with Nero too.
I was able to take an Audioslave CD with Nero and it reconized the CD.

However using an older CD from 1993 called Animal Instinct from Gary Hoey it does not.
Nero offered to look it up in the server database, and after searching it said server error

I edited the tracks myself, but when it went to burn, it tried to save each file with the same name and ignored my titles I typed in

Phoenix, where do you see the option to "write CD text" in the burning rom in the above photo, or is it a setting some other place?

Using the lastest Nero with all updates.
Also which is better as the output, digital or analog?

 

Hmm. That doesn't look familiar. I too use the latest nero, but I don't use the burn wizard or whatever pops-up naturally. I open up the full-on program of Nero Burning Rom.

When you click the burn button, there's a check-box that says "write cd text"
