6X9's possible in a 95 4Runner?

Just wondering if anyone has tried fitting 6X9's in the rear baffle boxes of a 2nd gen 4runner. Ive already cut up the box a bit to fit slightly larger speakers than the stock ones, so i have no problem cutting it up some more.

Thanks

because from what i've read those boxes are a really good thing to have over flimsy mounting brackets.

hmm... I replaced all the speakers in my truck with stock and it sounds pretty damn good. not sure why you'd wanna cut up your dash to fit some speakers.
