'00 4runner stereo help?

I've viewed alot of the instructions on how to put in a new stereo in 1st and 2nd generation 4runners. My question is how different is a 3rd generation. Thanks for any help

alot easier. pop out the cup holders, then remove the bezel around the shifter, then pull out the dash. They are all pop clips!! Then, 4 screws hold in the stereo brackets. These will be re-used. Make sure to take out the amp. It is a small rectangular box right behind and below the stereo. Follow the wire form the deck to the amp. Unscrew the 2 screws that hold the amp in, and unplug the amp from the wires. Get a Metra wire harness, plug it into the 2 harnesse that come out of the factory amp, and you're in business!!
